GTR Africa London 2019 (formerly known as Africa Trade & Infrastructure finance conference) will return to London on November 13, 2019. An important international gathering for the trade, ECA, fintech and infrastructure finance community, GTR’s annual event in London last year welcomed a total of more than 300 delegates, including local and international banks, multinational corporations, SMEs, non-bank financiers, insurers, lawyers and consultants.
This year’s event will welcome more than 35 of the world’s leading trade, finance and infrastructure experts as they gather to plan, discuss and contribute towards a sustainable vision for African trade. In addition, delegates have the chance to network and discuss sustainable trade opportunities with over 175 different companies.
‘We are tremendously pleased to once again be able to welcome practitioners from Africa and the UK to this exciting event,’ says GTR’s Conference Producer, Matt Hines. ‘Africa is seen by many as the crucial battleground for global trade, and this opportunity to bring together exporters, financiers and local businesses comes at an exciting time. The challenges facing exporters to Africa are well documented, and the chance for companies and their banks to convene and discuss future opportunities is one to be relished. With focus on sustainability and growth, supporting infrastructure development and debates on the role of China and concessional lending, this year’s GTR Africa London event is set to offer practitioners crucial insight into the market.’
Delegates will benefit from the use of dual streams and presented through a variety of formats including case studies, interactive panel discussions, break-out sessions and on-stage interviews which will provide excellent opportunities for engagement and knowledge sharing.
With a keen focus on networking, GTR Africa London will once again enjoying unrivalled support from local government organisations and public bodies, including South African Chamber of Commerce, British Exporters Association and UK Export Finance as well as the world’s leading financial institutions, attendees will build business relationships and gain inside knowledge on sustainable African trade & development growth as well as all risks involved.
